From My Heart

Most of our cherished freedoms that have made the United States of America the greatest nation in history, are now in serious jeopardy. For 245 years our great country has allowed her citizens religious liberty, freedom of speech and the right to own and bear arms. These things that have defined our country and given us our identity among the nations of the world are being threatened or destroyed by the “powers that be” in Washington D.C.

In today's “woke” culture, you are free to say whatever you want, until you say something that the “woke folks” don't like! You can go to the church of your choosing, unless that church takes a stand against sin, perversion, and those things which God says are an abomination. And, of course, each state is different, but if you want to buy or carry a gun, you must go get a permit that allows you to buy and carry a gun, and it must be registered with the State, and it must be a gun that is on an approved list - which is of course, established by the State.

That second amendment says we have the right to “bear” arms. But, to get the State's approval to carry is a tremendously difficult ordeal! The process is lengthy, it is time consuming, and it COSTS! There is a $75 application to fill out, that is several pages long, complete with references. You then must have electronic fingerprints done, and then you must take a firearms safety class, that can cost $100-400 depending on the class being offered. And then, you are required to go to the firing range and have a qualifying score, to show you know how to handle a firearm.

Even if you do all those things above; and spend several hundred dollars for all of it - that does not guarantee you will receive a permit. You then must present a reason why you feel like you should have a permit to carry! This “reason” is all subjective. The person looking at your application may not feel you “need” to carry…so nothing will be done. You have spent all that money, and jumped through all their hoops, but…that is no guarantee of a permit. And on top of all of this - the cost of ammunition today has skyrocketed!

I think it is this way to discourage the citizenry from even wanting to own or carry a gun! When you find out everything required of you, and the time it takes, and the cost - it will cause most folks to simply give up! Which is exactly what the State of Maryland wants you to do! So, the State will boast, “Oh, we are not violating your second amendment, you can carry in the State of Maryland!” Yes, you can if you have a few hundred dollars, and you want the State to know every single detail of your life, have your fingerprints, and give you “their permission” to do what the second amendment has already granted to every American.

Make no mistake, this “woke” culture being “big brother” has taken the place of the U. S. Constitution.

Pray for our country! Pray for revival to sweep our land.
