From My Heart
I suppose you saw on the news how a group of left-wing, radical protesters marched into a Church service in Minneapolis? They “heard” that the priest in that Church had a favorable position on ICE being in their city, so they felt obligated to barge into the service to protest the priest’s position on the issue. Each person who came into that Church to disrupt the service should be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law! It is amazing how brazen these radical leftists have become, and we will probably see more of this kind of behavior if drastic measures are not taken to stop it.
There are a number of churches down south where they better not try something like this! One pastor from Georgia told me this week that he has ordered his security team to go (his words) “full Rambo” on anyone trying to stop their services. This kind of anarchy is the natural result of the radical leftist agenda. The Justice Department needs to act decisively and definitively to stop these people before more folks get killed.
The Apostle Paul tells us in II Tim. 3:1, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.” Well, since they are already here, I would say we are in the “last days.” Paul then describes for us how people will behave in the last days! The description of how they behave is quite telling, and I think it is easy to read vs. 2-7 and come to the conclusion that we are in the “last days”.
Reading these verses, folks will say, “Yes, sir, this certainly describes the world we live in today!” But from what I can see, the world has always been like these verses describe! I don’t think Paul is describing the world in the last days; I think Paul is describing the condition of the Church in the last days. I believe Paul is saying this is how professing Christians will behave.
Paul is writing to Timothy about the Church, about being a Pastor, about standing strong, and about being a courageous preacher of the Word of God. Why would Paul be describing the unsaved world to Timothy? In my opinion, he is not! In my opinion, Paul is describing the condition of the Church in the last days. In v. 2, he said, “unholy,” so why would he say in the last days the world would be “unholy”? The world is always unholy; it always has been and always will be. Or, in v. 5, “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.” The world has no form of godliness! But multitudes of professing Christians sure do!
I am praying for the Lord’s soon return - because we are certainly in the last days! “Even so come, Lord Jesus.”
