SYMPATHY: to Nancy Connolly and Steve Bond at the passing of her husband and his uncle, Gil Connolly, on Saturday, October 25. Visitation will be held here at the church on Monday, November 3, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 12:00 p.m.
THANK YOU: to everyone who came out last Saturday for our Church Work Day! Your hard work and willingness to help have made a significant impact. We are truly grateful for all your support.
TITHING ENVELOPES: for 2026 are available for pick-up in the Church hallway, through Wednesday, November 12.
CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS: Forms are now available at the Welcome Desk to purchase a poinsettia in memory or in honor of loved ones. Orders may also be placed online through the church website. All orders must be received by Thursday, November 20.
BUSINESS MEETING: We will have a brief business meeting on Wednesday, November 12, after the service to recommend a change to the date for our annual church business meeting to say in Article 6.02, (A), “The annual church business meeting shall be held on a Wednesday or Sunday evening in December…” The change is to add, “or Sunday evening.”
RECYCLE BIN: Please be aware that the paper recycle bin is no longer available; it has been removed from the church property.

RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
FOR
DR. NORRIS E. BELCHER, JR.
WHEREAS, November 1, 2025, marks the 30th year Dr. Norris E. Belcher, Jr. has served the Church of the Open Door as its
Pastor and Spiritual leader, and
WHEREAS, during these 30 years, the Church of the Open Door has expanded its physical facilities with the addition of meeting rooms and classrooms to the multi-purpose center, land purchases, housing for the bus ministry, and has enlarged its
services to members and their families, and has extended the
curriculum of Carroll Christian Schools, and
WHEREAS this spiritual and physical growth on the part of the Church of the Open Door has been due in large measure to the inspiration, zeal, devotion, Godly leadership, and
soul-winning of Dr. Norris E. Belcher, Jr.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that we, the Board of Deacons, and members of the Church of the Open Door, do
hereby express our sincere thanks and appreciation to our Pastor, Dr. Norris E. Belcher, Jr., for his achievements on behalf of our church ministry, and it is further
RESOLVED that this resolution be entered in the minutes of the Board of Deacons meeting and be published in the next issue of the church bulletin.
