SYMPATHY: to Mark & Lori Peterson and Josh & Morgan Peterson and their family, at the passing of their brother/uncle, Tim Heffner, on Monday, August 25. The funeral was held on Friday, August 29, in New Windsor.
SYMPATHY: to Donna Kibler and her family at the passing of her grandson, Jesse Tomlin, on Sunday, August 24. Visitation will be at Fletchers Funeral Home on Saturday, September 6, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a Service at 2:00 p.m.
SUPER SIXTIES VOLUNTEERS: Are you looking for a place to serve? Come be a part of our Super Sixties Ministry and be a blessing to our seniors! Helpers are needed for setup, food serving, and cleanup during our monthly meetings. From My Heart
Next Sunday morning, September 7th, will be “First Responders Day.” We will have a special guest speaker in the morning service, David Karnes, and his testimony will stir your heart. This is a wonderful opportunity to invite friends and loved ones to come and be a part of honoring the First Responders in our county. We are going to serve our first responder guests a nice lunch and will also be providing them with several items as gifts, which they can take home as a reminder of being here. Please help us out by inviting folks to come to church with you next Sunday.
Much is happening around the world that points to the soon return of our Savior in the clouds to call the Church up to be with Him! For instance, there is a great effort being made in Israel to breed a “red heifer” so that the Priests can follow Numbers 19 and offer a pure red heifer as a sacrifice. Depending on which report you read, many folks will tell you they have bred a pure red heifer! I read about 20 years ago that this animal was bred and approved. Other articles recently have said the latest attempt (just a couple of weeks ago) to present a pure red heifer was examined and determined by the Priests to have had black hairs growing throughout its body.
So, what is the significance of this story being reported? Well, it shows us that there is interest in Temple worship among the Jews. But before they can re-institute Temple worship, they must have the “ashes of the red heifer” first! Now, we know there will be a new Temple built in Jerusalem because the Antichrist (the Beast) will enter into the Temple at the midway point of the Tribulation Period and will defile the Temple with his evil sacrifice. So, the fact that they are taking the first steps of getting the ashes of the red heifer is evidence of how soon the Lord’s return to rapture us to Heaven truly is!
Another sign of Christ’s return for His saints is found in the Golden Gate, or the Eastern Gate. Christ came through this gate when He entered into the city of Jerusalem, and when He comes back at the end of the Tribulation Period, He will once again enter from the Mt. of Olives through this gate. That gate is today closed and sealed by the Muslims who control the Temple Mount area, where the new Temple will be built. Should the Lord come back today, it will be seven years before the Lord Jesus will come onto the Temple Mount to sit down on the throne of David to rule and reign for the 1000-year-long Millennium.
The Muslims have put a cemetery out in front of the Eastern gate because they know the Law of Moses forbids a Priest to step on a grave. But the Bible tells us Christ will walk through the Eastern Gate to enter the city in order to rule and reign over the world during the Millennium. That gate has been shaking and moving - almost like someone is rattling it with a strong grip.
I think it is quite clear that the Lord Jesus is letting folks know things are rapidly moving towards something spectacular happening soon! Are you ready for the Savior to appear in the clouds and call us home?
