Announcements

SYMPATHY: to the family and friends of Nova Krolicki, who passed away on Wednesday, February 7. Arrangements are pending.

THANK YOU: We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the cards and prayers that you have sent to us during this difficult time of the home-going of my dad, Larry Haines. Your kind words, thoughts, and prayers have provided us with comfort and strength as we navigate through this loss and cherish the memories. We are grateful for the love and compassion you have shown us. The cards and prayers have served as a reminder of the impact our dad had on the lives of those around him. He was a loving father, a devoted husband, and a dear friend to many. Thank you to Pastor Norris, Pastor Holbrook, and the Deacons for the many visits over the last few years. Thank you to the Generations Sunday School class for the outpouring of love you showed our family by providing us a meal. Levi, LeighAnn, and the Haines family

THANK YOU: We would like to thank our church family for their support of the 2023 Christmas Outreach. We appreciate those who gave money for the purchase of turkeys and Bibles and for those who took a tag from the tree. Because of your faithfulness, love, and generosity, nine people came to know the Lord as their Savior. Thank you again for your support, and we are looking forward to seeing what God has in store for this year. Your Outreach Team

From My Heart

Revival

By: Dr. Shelton Smith
Revival should be our prayer, our passion, and our priority. It should be the normal state of things in every church. What should be, could be, and will be – when we believe God as we should and give ourselves devotedly to His cause.
When the people of God lose their zeal, grow cold, and start cavorting with worldlings, there is a need for revival. When the work of God wanes, crowds diminish, pulpits are dry, very few souls are being converted, and the baptistry is a haven of cobwebs, there is a need for revival. When the Word of God is not given the highest priority, there is a need for revival. When the will of God is not the center focus of a Christian’s life, there is a need for revival. When the way of God is shelved and replaced with other pursuits and interests, there is a need for revival.

By: Dr. Curtis Hutson
There is nothing better than old-fashioned revivals where half-asleep Christians wake up; where those who have lost their burden for souls get it back; where those who have quit tithing start again; and where those who fail to attend church on Sunday night become
faithful.

By: Dr. John R. Rice
I say that we can have great revivals now, as great revivals as the world ever saw. I mean we can have mass evangelism shaking whole cities, with thousands saved in a single campaign. I say that the Gospel can again grip whole communities, whole areas, and affect the moral standards, the philosophy of life of the general public. I say that as a result of such mass revivals, we may have a new and mighty missionary impetus that will win millions of souls around the world, that will build and support great Christian institutions like those that came with the ministry of great evangelists of the past. I mean an evangelism led by men called of God as evangelists, anointed with power from Heaven; men with gifts needed for mighty mass movements, backed by Bible-believing pastors and people.

Pray in your heart for God to ignite the fires of revival in your own soul.
